Obituary

Ronald (Ronnie) W. Armstrong

Ronald W. Armstrong, a beloved brother, family member, and friend, passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 49.

Ronnie's life was not always easy. Like many, he faced struggles and difficult seasons that helped shape his journey. Yet his story was far more than the challenges he endured. Behind those hardships was a man with a kind heart, a unique personality, and a life filled with meaningful moments, memories, and people who cared deeply for him.

Ronnie will be remembered for his lifelong love of the Cincinnati Bengals, his sense of humor, and his ability to make others laugh. He was happiest while night fishing for catfish at Ellis Dam. He saw the world in his own way, and those who knew him will carry memories of who he was beyond his hardships.

His life reminds us that a person should never be defined solely by their struggles. Ronnie was a son, brother, uncle, and a friend to many-someone who was truly loved.

Ronnie leaves behind his siblings: Paula Delaney, Meredith (Armstrong) Day, Patricia (Delaney) Dunlap, Deborah (Armstrong) Derck, David (Shirley) Delaney, Teresa (Armstrong) (Will) Ruffin, and Bobbie Jean (Kali) Armstrong; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends, including his best friends Terry McCarty, Alan Shackleford, and T-Bone.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald W. Armstrong; his mother, Deloris A. Armstrong; and his beloved furry companion, Kane.

Though his journey was sometimes difficult, we choose to remember Ronnie with compassion, love, and gratitude for the time we shared with him. We will hold onto the good times, the laughter, the memories, and the moments that made him who he was.

May Ronnie now find the peace that life did not always give him. May he be remembered not for his struggles, but for the love and memories that surrounded him.

Rest peacefully, Ronnie. You will be missed, remembered, and forever loved.
